Entries for month: June 2011

June 2011 Meeting: An intro to Git with Tim Cunningham

Tim Cunningham (@TimCunningham71) is the VP of a pretty big software company (80+ CF developers) near Macon, GA, and a long-time, hardcore ColdFusion developer, as well as a great guy, and hilarious if you ever get a chance to meet him. Tim also brews beer. A lot of beer. He even gave a short talk on beer brewing at CF.Objective() last month. Of course the real reason he was there was to give a talk similar to what he's planning for us this month: "A Git's Guide to Gitting Along." I know Alan has been really interested in this Git discussion, and once you all see it, you will be, too.

Nathan attended Tim's Git session at CF.Objective(), and it motivated him to pick it up and start using it.

As usual, we plan to use the main auditorium of UAT, it's at 2625 W. Baseline in Tempe (~ 48th and Baseline), it's at 6:30PM. Free pizza included. See you there!

We will also be giving away a free copy of Adobe CS 5.5! Must be present to win!

Here is the Adobe Acrobat Connect URL for the meeting if you can't be there in person:
